At Ascend Worship Center, we believe the five-fold ministry—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—is essential for the full maturity and equipping of the Body of Christ. These roles were divinely appointed by God to build, strengthen, and unify His Church. We embrace the prophetic as a vital voice that brings clarity, direction, and confirmation to God’s people. The prophetic does not replace the Word but aligns with it, calling the Church back to God’s heart and purpose. Through the five-fold ministry and prophetic insight, we grow into the fullness of Christ and walk boldly in our Kingdom assignments.
The five-fold ministry, as outlined in Ephesians 4:11–13, is God's blueprint for building a strong, balanced, and empowered Church. Each office carries a unique grace to equip the saints for the work of ministry and bring unity and maturity to the Body of Christ. Without the full expression of these gifts, the Church can become imbalanced or limited in its ability to fully function in the earth. These roles are not meant to compete, but to complement one another in fulfilling God's divine mission.
The prophetic ministry plays a critical role in discerning the times, encouraging the body, and calling people back into alignment with God's will. Prophets are not simply future-tellers—they are messengers who speak the heart of God, offering both edification and correction. In an age full of confusion, distraction, and misinformation, we need prophetic voices who hear from Heaven and speak with both boldness and compassion. This ministry brings light to dark places and confirms what God is already speaking to His people.
At Ascend Worship Center, we don’t just acknowledge the five-fold—we activate and cultivate it. We believe every believer has a role in the Kingdom, and the five-fold ministry provides the structure to equip and release people into their purpose. By embracing both the prophetic and the full five-fold model, we aim to be a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led church, moving with divine authority, clarity, and power to impact our community and the world.
